PD Charger Manufacturer

Last updated: April 2026

Sunshine Electronics is a USB-C PD charger manufacturer with 22+ years of experience and 800+ workers across dual factories in China and Vietnam, producing PD (Power Delivery) chargers that automatically negotiate the correct voltage for any connected device — from 5V smartphone charging to 65W laptop power. Industry estimates indicate over 78% of new electronic devices shipped in 2024 support some form of USB Power Delivery, making PD chargers the fastest-growing segment in the power supply market. Our PD chargers are available in desktop brick, wall-mount, and interchangeable-plug form factors, with customizable voltage profiles (PDO tables), DC connector options, and regional plug configurations. Every unit carries UL 62368-1, FCC Part 15, CE, RoHS, and REACH certifications — the complete compliance portfolio that OEM procurement teams require for North American, European, and Asia-Pacific distribution.

Customize Quality PD Chargers on Budget

Every PD charger in Sunshine’s lineup supports full OEM customization — from the PD voltage profile (custom PDO tables configured by our firmware engineering team at no tooling premium) to the physical design (DC connector type, housing color via Pantone/RAL matching, logo pad printing or laser engraving, and regional plug head selection). Our private-label packaging program covers custom retail boxes, UPC/EAN barcode assignment, multilingual safety inserts, and Amazon FBA-ready prep. Over 85% of our PD charger orders ship with some level of customization, and our engineering team turns around custom PD profile samples in 5–7 working days.

PD Charger Engineering

With 22+ years focused on pd charger development, Sunshine has built deep expertise in the compact switching converter topologies that enable high efficiency in small form factors. Our pd chargers achieve ≥85% conversion efficiency at full load — critical for meeting DoE Level VI energy standards and minimizing heat in sealed wall-plug housings. The engineering team includes specialists in EMC compliance (FCC Part 15), thermal management, and connector reliability for the specific demands of the pd-charger form factor.

Quality Standards & Certifications

Every pd charger is manufactured with UL94 V-0 flame-rated housing materials, gold-plated DC connector contacts, and switching components rated for 50,000+ hours continuous operation. Our 6-stage quality control process — IQC, IPQC, 100% electrical testing, 4-hour burn-in aging, FQA (AQL 0.65), and OQC — delivers defect rates below 0.15%. All adapters certified to UL 62368-1.

Custom PD Chargers for Your Business

Beyond our standard catalog, Sunshine’s OEM/ODM engineering team develops fully custom pd chargers to your exact specifications. Custom voltage/current combinations, specialized DC connectors (JST, Molex, custom pins), extended DC cable lengths (0.5m–5m), waterproof or outdoor-rated enclosures, and medical-grade isolation are all available at MOQ 3,000. Global Shipping & Dual-Factory Production

Our dual-factory production spans Changzhou, China (established 2001, 600+ workers) and Vinh Phuc, Vietnam (established 2018, 1,000+ workers). The Vietnam facility provides a China+1 sourcing strategy for tariff optimization on US-bound shipments — identical quality processes, certifications, and production capabilities across both sites. Annual combined capacity exceeds 20 million power adapter units. Standard lead time is 25–35 days from order confirmation. We support multiple logistics methods including FOB, CIF, DDP, and direct-to-Amazon FBA fulfillment.

PD Charger Manufacturer FAQ

We manufacture PD chargers in three form factors: desktop brick adapters (24W–75W with IEC C8 AC inlet), wall-mount chargers with fixed or interchangeable plug heads (up to 65W), and compact USB-C PD wall chargers with direct USB-C output. All form factors support customizable PD voltage profiles — from single-voltage fixed output to multi-voltage negotiation with up to 4 PDOs.

Every PD charger features intelligent voltage negotiation via USB Power Delivery 3.0 protocol, ±3% output voltage regulation under full load, and four active protection circuits (OVP, OCP, SCP, OTP). Housings are UL94 V-0 flame-rated. Interchangeable-plug models include spring-loaded retention mechanisms tested to 5,000+ snap cycles. Desktop models feature detachable, region-swappable AC cords.

Standard PD profiles include 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/2A, 15V/1.86A, and 19V/3.4A — available individually, in dual-voltage pairs, or as 4-PDO multi-voltage configurations. Custom voltage/current combinations are configurable within each model’s power budget through firmware programming at MOQ 3,000. The SQ1025 supports 4.2V–36V customizable range; the SQ1026 supports 20.5V–30V.

Yes — custom PD profiles (PDO tables) are configured by our firmware engineering team at no tooling premium. Sample turnaround for custom PD configurations is 5–7 working days. Physical customization includes DC connector selection (barrel jack sizes, proprietary pins), housing color (Pantone/RAL matching), logo application (pad print or laser engraving), and full private-label retail packaging with UPC codes and multilingual documentation.

All PD chargers carry UL 62368-1 (US/Canada), FCC Part 15 Class B (EMC), CE (EU LVD + EMC Directives), RoHS, and REACH. DoE Level VI efficiency certification is available as an option. For interchangeable-plug models, each regional plug head carries its own safety certification mark — UL/CSA (US), CE (EU), BS (UK with built-in fuse), and SAA (AU).

Standard warranty is 2 years from shipment, extendable to 3 years for OEM contracts. MOQ is 1,000 units for stock configurations and 3,000 units for custom PD profiles, connectors, or branding. Lead time is 25–35 days from order confirmation. Engineering samples ship in 5–7 days for qualification testing.

A standard power adapter delivers a fixed voltage regardless of the connected device. A PD charger uses the USB Power Delivery protocol to communicate with the device and negotiate the optimal voltage/current combination before delivering power. This means one PD charger can serve multiple device types — a 5V smartphone and a 12V camera from the same unit — while a fixed adapter can only power devices designed for its specific voltage output.
